Jaco Island is a small, uninhabited island located within the Protected Nino Konis Santana National Park at the eastern tip of Lospalos Municipality. It is home to the Fataluku people and boasts stunning white sand beaches, crystal-clear azure waters, and sparse vegetation.
The island is also a site of significant historical and anthropological importance, with recent archaeological discoveries in Tutuala revealing the world’s oldest fishing hooks. These findings indicate the presence of nomadic tribes in the area dating back roughly 42,000 years.
