Timor-Leste’s tropical climate is heavily influenced by West Pacific Monsoon and its mountainous climate. Its wet season takes place between December and May and dry season between June and November, with the southern parts of the country experiencing a longer wet season of seven to nine months.

Lowlands: 25°C – 35°C (77°F – 95°F)

Highlands: 18°C – 25°C (64°F – 77°F)

Travel Tips

  • Bring light, breathable clothing for the hot weather, but also pack a jacket or sweater for cooler evenings in the mountains.
